Chandler West is a visual storyteller.Hi, I'm Chandler! I am a photographer and creative director with past clients ranging from political campaigns and editorial companies to non-profit mission-driven organizations. I help them achieve their visual storytelling goals by creating compelling content and building scalable digital operations.
My career started as an independent photojournalist in Chicago. During that time, my work was published in editorial publications including the Chicago Sun-Times, and The Wall Street Journal's Photo Journal. I hold a B.A. in journalism and photography from Loyola University Chicago. I recently founded Righteous Fights, where we use digital storytelling to create a future that’s more just, equitable, and inclusive for all. Prior to that, I served as Deputy Director of Photography at the White House. In 2016, I kickstarted the storytelling engine of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, a philanthropy founded by Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta. I'm an expert at assembling teams and the operational side of storytelling, including editing video, producing live stream events and digital strategy. I previously managed digital projects for the progressive advocacy organization Indivisible. I currently live in Washington, D.C. with my incredible wife and our shiba inu. Let's work together! |
